Nonemergency surgeries delayed at South Carolina ASC due to tropical storm

Nonemergency surgeries at Beaufort (S.C.) Memorial Hospital have been delayed due to Tropical Storm Debby, The Island Packet reported Aug. 5.

All elective surgeries planned for Aug. 6 at the hospital and the Beaufort Memorial Surgery Center were rescheduled, along with most other appointments and services. 

All other outpatient departments and physician practices were also closed Tuesday ahead of the storm.
