Nobilis completes $22M Arizona Vascular Clinics acquisition; Foundation HealthCare sells ASC business to Healthcrest Surgical Partners & more — 5 key notes on ASC companies

Here are five updates on ASC management companies to note.

Nobilis Health closed its deal with Arizona Vascular Clinics and its affiliated surgery centers, which operated as The Arizona Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery. Nobilis acquired AVVC and ACMIS for $22 million. As per the acquisition agreement, L. Philip Wall, MD, founder of AVVC and ACMIS, will serve as president of Nobilis' vascular division.

Tenet Healthcare shares fell 4.21 percent on Oct. 27. The company has an average daily volume of 1.92 million shares.  

Foundation HealthCare sold non-controlling interest in the seven ambulatory surgery centers it owns as well as all assets of Foundation Surgery Management to Healthcrest Surgical Partners. Healthcrest paid $2.5 million in cash and a subordinated promissory note for $2.75 million.

Merritt Healthcare launched its spinoff, Merritt Healthcare Advisors. Merritt Healthcare Advisors centers on offering surgery centers, physician practices and ancillary outpatient services providers merger and acquisition advisory services. Merritt's advisory board is unique in that it provides both transactional expertise and active clinical operations.

During the week of Oct. 24 to Oct. 28, Hospital Corporation of America shares fell 5.4 percent, trading at $77.31 per share.
