Marin Specialty Surgery Center Joins Operation Access for Uninsured Patients

Marin Specialty Surgery Center recently hosted its first Operation Access surgery to provide care for low-income uninsured patients, according to a report from the Marin Independent Journal.

Operation Access provides volunteer medical care and free outpatient surgery to patients in need at a variety of hospitals and outpatient surgery centers, now including Marin Specialty Surgery Center. The patient received an arthroscopic knee surgery to repair an injury sustained several years earlier. There were eight surgeries performed as part of the event by seven participating surgeons and three anesthesiologist volunteers.

Marin Specialty Surgery Center opened in 2001 and has 27 limited partners with general partner Surgical Care Affiliates.”
