Governor Janet Mills has signed a law limiting noncompete clauses in employment contracts for rural healthcare workers, News Center Maine reported April 17.
The bill is designed to help combat the state’s ongoing physician shortage, a state representative told the publication.
The bill will go into effect in 90 days.
