Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley undergoing outpatient surgery

Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley, R, is scheduled to undergo routine outpatient surgery March 2, The Gazette reports.

The 84 year old said the procedure is in the “category of a hernia fix” and is similar to a surgery his son underwent last year.

Mr. Grassley plans to be back at the Senate for a vote March 5. He hasn’t missed a vote for more than two decades.
