Here are four key notes:
1. The surgery center added microdiscectomy and laminectomy as outpatient procedures.
2. The first procedures were performed in December.
3. The ASC added spine surgeons Anthony Rinella, MD, and Kris Siemionow, MD, to its medical staff shortly before the new procedures were performed.
4. In the future Ingalls Same Day Surgery plans to add laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hysterectomy and cervical spine procedures.
