EPIC Has 22% of Ambulatory Market

Epic Systems has 22 percent of the ambulatory EHR market share for providers who have achieved meaningful use, according to federal data. The following five vendors make up nearly 53 percent of the market share for meaningful users in an ambulatory setting:

Epic Systems — 21.7 percent market share

Allscripts — 11.1 percent market share

eClinicalWorks — 7.5 percent market share

NextGen Healthcare — 6.8 percent market share

GE Healthcare — 5.7 percent market share

Epic also leads among meaningful users in inpatient settings, with 45.3 percent of the market share, according to a report from HIT Consultant.
