Dr. Sandmeier is an orthopedic surgeon with The Portland (Ore.) Clinic and Tigard, Ore.-based Alberty Surgical Center. He is also the current president of the North Pacific Orthopedic Association.
“I am honored to receive the OASCA 2015 Medical Leader award and hope to do more to contribute next year,” Dr. Sandmeier said in a statement. “Preserving the ability of ASCs to be able to focus on the parts of medicine that they can do well is critical and the OASCA gives us a voice which would otherwise not be heard over the large insurance companies and hospitals who have so much more money to spend.”
