Crane Creek Surgery Center joins First Choice Healthcare Medical Centers of Excellence Network: 5 things to know

First Choice Healthcare, a diversified holding company, has added a surgery center to its Medical Centers of Excellence network in Florida.

Here are five things to know.

1. Crane Creek Surgery Center in Melbourne, Fla., is a multispecialty, 18,000-square-foot facility located in the Crane Creek Medical Center.

2. CCSC Holdings, a subsidiary of First Choice, acquired a 40 percent interest in Crane Creek Surgery Center. The center’s other owners include two physicians and Blue Chip Surgical Partners.

3. The physician owners, Richard Hynes, MD, and Devin Datta, MD, are affiliated with The B.A.C.K. Center, another Melbourne, Fla., facility in the First Choice network. They own a stake in Crane Creek Surgery Center through CCSC TBC Group.

4. CCSC Holdings and TBC group collectively own 75 percent of the surgery center.

5. “We are thrilled to be affiliated with First Choice and to be part of the First Choice Healthcare network of medical centers. With the addition of First Choice and the ongoing affiliation with The B.A.C.K. Center, Crane Creek Surgery Center will continue to be a center of excellence for spine, orthopedic and interventional pain care,” said Jay Rom, president of Blue Chip Surgical Center Partners.
