ASC development company Constitution Surgery Alliance has entered the Michigan market through partnerships with Troy, Mich.-based UnaSource Surgery Center and Southfield, Mich.-based MiOrtho Surgery Center.
The partnerships will provide both centers access to CSA’s operational resources, data analytics platform and strategic support, according to an Oct. 21 news release.
UnaSource, which opened in 2004, is a multispecialty surgery center with five operating rooms and 50 surgeons across seven specialties. It is one of 10 ASCs nationwide to earn advanced orthopedic certification for total joint replacement and complex spine surgery from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.
MiOrtho, founded in 2021 by Michigan Orthopaedic Surgeons, the largest independent orthopedic group in the state, has four operating rooms and specializes in orthopedic procedures, including joint replacements and spine surgery. The physician group has more than 50 physicians across 13 locations in southeastern Michigan, with surgeons operating at both ASCs.
Physician Growth Partners served as exclusive advisor to UnaSource and MiOrtho in the transactions. Financial terms were not disclosed.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
