Compass Surgical Partners’ joint-venture ASC serves 3,000+ patients in 1st year

Stuart (Fla.) Surgery Center has treated 3,000-plus patients since opening its doors in April 2018.

Three insights on its one-year anniversary:

1. Raleigh, N.C.-based Compass Surgical Partners partnered with Stuart-based Martin Health System and five MHS gastroenterologists to open the freestanding ASC.

2. The facility was formerly a multispecialty surgery center. It was repurposed to accommodate endoscopy procedures.

3. Stuart Surgery Center is MHS’ first freestanding, gastroenterology-focused center in Stuart and Martin County, Fla., as well as MHS’ primary outpatient endoscopy location.
