Raleigh, N.C.-based Compass Surgical Partners and San Antonio, Texas-based St. Raphael’s Surgery Center partnered in December 2018 to boost the center’s value.

What you should know:

1. Compass will implement its Core operating system at the center and recruit physicians to join the facility. The ASC management company will focus on maximizing SRSC’s value and growing its reputation as a complex surgery destination.

2. Inner ear specialist Lance Jackson, MD, founded St. Raphael’s in 2014. Since then, the center has become known for providing implantable hearing devices and bone-anchored hearing devices.

3. SRSC’s surgeons specialize in otolaryngology, orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, podiatry, pain management and cardiology.
