Southern New England Surgical Center Praised for Efficiency, Cost Effectiveness

Saint Anne’s Hospital’s Southern New England Surgery Center in Attleboro, Mass., has been praised for its efficiency and cost-effectiveness, according to an MD News report.

SNESC is a 10-room surgery center with eight operating rooms and two procedure rooms. The multispecialty center performs procedures in general surgery, orthopedics, gastroenterology, colorectal surgery, podiatry, plastic surgery, pain management, urology and neurologic surgery.

The staff of more than 40 surgeons performs more than 7,000 surgeries a year. According to center leadership, the surgery center is able to provide safe surgery at a lower cost than the hospital setting, a boon for the healthcare industry considering the increasing emphasis on low-cost care.
