AmSurg retracts bid for TeamHealth, SCA launches new website & more — 4 key notes on ASC companies

Here are four updates on ASC companies.

AmSurg retracted its $7.6 billion takeover bid for TeamHealth. TeamHealth had a deadline of Tuesday at 4 p.m., but AmSurg withdrew the offer one day ahead of the deadline.

Hospital Corporation of America stock traded at $68.79 per share, up 1.16 percent, during the week of Oct. 26 to Oct.30.

Surgical Care Affiliates launched its new website last week that includes information about the company’s mission, values and vision, as well as its current partnerships and news. SCA presently has more than 190 surgical facilities, 6,000 teammates and more than 7,500 physicians who perform nearly 750,000 procedures in SCA facilities each year.

Jeffries Groups estimated Surgery Partners will post earning of $0.23 per share for the third year of 2015. Jeffries Group has a price target of $27 and “buy” rating for Surgery Partners stock.
