The partnership will help physicians increase access and quality outpatient care at Poway, according to a June 4 press release.

Poway is a freestanding ASC accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. AMSURG had been involved with the five-operating-room facility prior to the new venture.

The ASC provides access to gastroenterology; orthopedics; ear, nose and throat, and more.

AMSURG currently has a network of more than 250 surgery centers nationwide.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
