3. Additionally, there are 24 percent fewer hospitals and 32 percent fewer primary care physicians available in payers’ networks.
4. Republicans commonly cite the lack of options as a major critique for the ACA.
5. The law’s limitation on out-of-pocket costs in not applicable in care provided outside of the plan’s network. Thus, people fall victim to high costs.
6. Advocates for ACA claim the narrow networks keep premium costs low.
7. A different study showed that 75 percent of those enrolled in ACA are satisfied with their choice of physicians and hospitals.
