Here are four notes:
1. The Congressional Budge Office reported the total workforce will shrink by just under 1 percent due to new coverage expansions, mandates and tax rate changes.
2. The CBO warns its projections were still based on uncertain evidence and citing. It is unsure how people will react to the work incentives the ACA created.
3. In its analysis, the CBO wrote, “Some people would choose to work fewer hours; others would leave the labor force entirely or remain unemployed for longer than they otherwise would.”
4. Senate Finance Chairman Orrin Harch (R-Utah) said the ACA clearly is not working for the people when it hurts the labor force.
