5 things to know about Medical Facilities Corp.

Toronto, Canada-based Medical Facilities Corp. has eight ASCs and five specialty surgical hospitals, according to Seeking Alpha.

1. Its network includes 67 operating rooms, 155 overnight beds, 15 procedure rooms and five urgent care clinics.

2. The company shares some of its ownership with its top surgeons.

3. Medicare and Medicaid comprise 31 percent of the company’s payer mix, compared to 37 percent on average in the U.S. healthcare system overall.

4. Medical Facilities Corp.’s revenue grew from $151.37 million (C$199.4 million) in 2008 to $292.50 million (C$385.3 million) in 2017.

5. Its operating margin decreased from 30.8 percent in 2008 to 17.4 percent in 2017.
