4 key trends from Amerinet’s inflation rates report for healthcare supplies

Amerinet released its updated “Inflationary Indices” for 2015, which include company and industry projections for inflation rates across several categories in 2015.

The report, released to Amerinet members, notes the following trends:

•    There is expected to be particular upward pricing pressure in the areas of X-ray film, developing products and developing chemicals.
•    Argon gas, used primarily in lasers, is experiencing extraordinary price increases due to lack of production.
•    Helium, used mainly in conjunction with MRI scans, will continue to increase as well.
•    Water/sewage costs are outpacing inflation nationwide, and increases of 25 percent to35 percent year over year are being experienced throughout the country.
