20% of employed physicians dissatisfied with salary

About 20 percent of employed physicians are currently dissatisfied with their income, according to Medscape’s “Employed Physicians Report 2023,” published Aug. 22.

About 23 percent of employed physicians feel neutral about their incomes, while 13 percent are very satisfied, and 44 percent are satisfied. 

In last year’s report, 56 percent of employed physicians were either satisfied or very satisfied with their income. 

About 71 percent of all Americans are satisfied with their family income, according to a Gallup poll.
