Gastroenterologist on the Move: Dr. Rick Zak Joins Pagosa Springs Medical Center

Rick Zak, MD, a gastroenterologist who has been in private practice in Chico, Calif., will be joining the medical staff at Pagosa Springs (Colo.) Medical Center, according to a Pagosa Springs Journal news report.

Dr. Zak completed his medical training at the University of Illinois School of Medicine, where he subsequently also finished his internship and residency training in internal medicine. He then completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles before setting up a private practice in Chico, where he has been offering his gastroenterology services for the past 28 years.

Additionally, Dr. Zak will be involved in Colorado’s statewide Colorectal Screening Program, which partners with healthcare providers to provide colorectal screening services and treatment to the underserved population for free.
