New Mexico has the lowest average physician pay satisfaction of any state, according to a new report from recently launched salary transparency platform Marit Health.

Marit Health ranked pay satisfaction on a 5-point scale, with 1 representing very dissatisfied with pay and 5 representing very satisfied with pay.

Here are 10 states with the lowest pay satisfaction:

New Mexico: 3.29

Average total compensation: $331,000

District of Columbia: 3.32

Average total compensation: $403,000

Hawaii: 3.32

Average total compensation: $351,000

New York: 3.39

Average total compensation: $376,000

New Jersey: 3.4

Average total compensation: $383,000

Michigan: 3.42

Average total compensation: $394,000

Pennsylvania: 3.44
