A Republican and staunch ASC advocate, Dr. Pliura currently serves as a legal counsel for several Illinois surgical centers and manager of ASCs in central Illinois. He is the co-founder of zChart and the zCHART EMR.
Dr. Pliura’s current and only opponent is state Rep. Chapin Rose (R-Mahomet).
