Spotlight on ASC Leaders: 6 Recent Leadership Moves & Honorable Recognitions

Here are six leaders in the ambulatory surgery center industry that have recently stepped into new leadership roles or received honorable recognition.

Leana Corradini stepped into the role of administrator at Carondelet Foothills Surgery Center is Tucson, Ariz., a little less than a year ago. Previously, she served as the administrator of Providence Holy Cross and Summit Surgery Center.  

The Ohio Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers has appointed Cheryl Cunningham, RN, as chair of the association for a two-year period. Ms. Cunningham is the administrator of Findlay Surgery Center.

Myron Falchuk, MD, of the Boston Endoscopy Center and an AmSurg partner, was recently featured in Jerome Groopman, MD's book How Doctors Think.

Joe Morris, MD, a general surgeon of Pierce Street Same Day Surgery in Sioux City, Iowa, was recently featured in a Sioux City Journal article. Dr. Morris discussed the use of Exparel pain medication in the article.

Eileen Salazar became the ASC business office manager at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston a little more than a year ago. Prior to her current role, Ms. Salazar was the business office manager at Wortham Surgery Center.

Michelle Weidner-Jordan recently became the director of nursing at Pierce Street Same Day Surgery in Sioux City, Iowa. She previously served as the CEO and administrator of Lewis and Clark Specialty Hospital in Yankton, S.D.
