Job Opening: Senior Director of Volume Growth for Surgical Care Affiliates

Surgical Care Affiliates is seeking a Sr. Director, Volume Growth.  Their goal will be to ensure SCA leads the industry in profitable case volume growth by identifying the key levers to same-site volume growth, leading the development of the platform to support profitable volume growth and assisting the Operations and Sales leaders to ensure their teams are fully leveraging the platform.  Please apply at:

 Position responsibilities:

•         Service line management

o   Develop a process to ensure SCA facilities have access to the resources needed to evaluate new service lines (both case types such as total joints and payer types such as worker’s comp), recruit the physicians and successfully add the procedures clinically
o   Ensure SCA facilities are aware of the best practices to grow market share in common ASC service lines (cataracts, GI, pain management).  Identify and pilot programs to grow volume in these areas

•         Sales training

o   Design sales training program for RVPs, Administrators, Directors of New Business Development, and Physician Office Liaisons, including identifying any external resources needed to execute on the program.
o   Program should address both new teammates and ensuring that existing teammates receive incremental sales training each year to improve their skills and reinforce the habits of growth

•         Growth culture development

o   Partner with the Communication and Marketing team to develop the processes to embed growth in our culture

§  Dissemination of stories
§  Recognition
§  Tangible displays in facilities

o   Partner with Operations and Sales to ensure each facility has a clear set of growth priorities and is taking advantage of the relevant growth resources to be successful

o   Recommend how we can shift the incentive compensation structure over time to better reinforce profitable volume growth as a priority

•         Growth metrics / reporting
o   Refine metrics / reporting package to be delivered by SCA’s Business Intelligence team that will ensure the teammates responsible for growth are clear about the trends and opportunities to increase profitable case volume

•         Data mining
o   Lead analytical efforts to review internal and external data to identify and prioritize opportunities for SCA facilities to increase profitable case volume
Qualifications and experience:
•         Bachelor's Degree is required
•         MBA or other related graduate-level degree is preferred
•         Minimum of seven (7) years work experience. Prior management experience is preferred.
•         Previous experience in a sales, strategy, business development or operating function is preferred, but not required.

•         Collaborative team player with strong stakeholder management skills, demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
•         Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
•         Ability to manage and prioritize across multiple projects
•         Ability to gain credibility and influence others (without authority) in a matrix organization
•         Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Additional information

•         Position Reports to Vice President, Strategy

•         Geography: Position will be based out of a SCA office: Chicago, Dallas, Pasadena

•         Willingness Travel: Expect 30% travel
