Job Opening: Directors of New Business Development for Surgical Care Affiliates

Surgical Care Affiliates is seeking two analytical, motivated and entrepreneurial Directors of New Business Development to lead physician recruiting efforts of a region of three to five ambulatory surgery centers in the Northeast area and Midwest area as the company seeks to continue to lead the industry in organic growth.

Key responsibilities include:

•    Work with the regional operations team to develop a clear marketing plan for each ASC in the region. Plans should prioritize physicians based on SCA's proprietary ECO (Every Case Optimized) System database that enables each center to determine their optimal case mix.
•    Bifurcate the targets on the marketing plan between the Director of New Business Development and the operations team to optimize the likelihood of success. In partnership with the operations team determine a specific sales pitch for each ASC based on their position in the local market and type of physician being pursued.
•    Leverage existing contracts and network amongst the healthcare community to be able to gain access to the most productive physicians, whether established or new to the area.
•    Partner with the operations leadership, clinical staff and existing physicians to recruit the targeted new physicians.
•    Successfully oversee the credentialing and on-boarding process of new physicians through their initial cases.
•    Help disseminate best marketing practices across the region and SCA.

The company is looking for a highly motivated individual who wants to help them continue to be one of the industry leaders in organic growth. A successful director of new business candidate will have:

•    Strong mission and values fit with the SCA organization
•    Five-plus years of experience in a sales role working directly with physicians
•    Demonstrated understanding of the ASC business model through direct or indirect experience (ie, device representative)
•    Extraordinary communication and interpersonal skills resulting in proven relationship building capability
•    Ability to work independently and to call on appropriate resources when needed to successfully achieve objectives
•    Ability to synthesize information to report to Senior Executives
•    Emotionally mature and personally secure — self-aware and accepts constructive feedback
•    Sales force start up experience is preferred
•    Knowledge of the Philadelphia market and willingness to cover some areas of Connecticut

The Northeast Director of New Business Development would preferably be based in Connecticut. Preferred location that we are seeking is in Hartford or Bridgeport, but will also consider candidates from other areas within the Northeast. Click here to apply.
