The Surgery Center at Rainier, in Puyallup, Wash., is looking for a Director of Surgical Services/ASC Manager. Responsibilities of the Director are (but not limited to): supervising and coordinating all activities related to the nursing function. Planning, organizing, delegating, budgeting, and controlling the services of the ASC in an efficient and cost effective mode. Along with planning, scheduling, and evaluating the work of the surgery center staff. The Director is responsible for supervising, managing, and leading the staff of the Operating Room, Recovery Room, Reception, and Billing Department.
Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, hold a current license in the State of Washington, and be CPR certified. The following are preferred: 4 years of nursing experience in the operating room/recovery room/critical care, 3 years in a management position, hold a bachelor's degree in Nursing, and be ACLS certified.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills. Have a strong working knowledge of computers, specifically Word and Excel, and be able to work under and handle stressful situations.
