Here is three things health organizations should know to prepare for the possible changes:

1. The Advisory Board believes administration needs to develop a safety net strategy.

2. The group believes health organizations should start working with state Medicaid officials today to prepare responses. These group believes health organisations should double-down on population health and care management efforts while also investing in payer-facing “navigation resources.”

3. Health organizations need to examine revenue cycle performance and adopt a “multi-stakeholder, multidisciplinary approach and craft a cost-reduction strategy that includes both near-term savings and higher-upside, longer term-cost restructuring,” Advisory Board reports.
