US House of Representatives Calls for RAC Reform

In a letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius 111 members of the U.S. House of Representatives called for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to reform the Recovery Audit Contractor process, according to an AHANEws.com report.

The letter urges Congress and CMS to implement an alternative payment arrangement with RAC auditors to ensure there is no improper incentive to deny claims.
