Trump threatens to revoke payer subsidies — 3 insights

President Donald Trump tweeted that he'd eliminate insurance-based subsidies to payers and Congress if a new ACA alternative was not passed, the Reuters reports.

1. Payers requested $8 billion in subsidized payment for 2018. If President Trump eliminates subsidies, Reuters analysts believe insurance premiums would increase by 20 percent.
