Thirty-one percent of private practice physicians lose more than $7,501 annually from missed appointments, according to a survey from healthcare software company Tebra published Jan. 30.
Tebra surveyed 122 small private practice owners on where they are finding success in regard to revenue streams and costs.
Here's how much revenue the private practices reported losing from no-shows and cancellations:
- $0: 3% of surveyed physicians
- $1-$2,500: 31%
- $5,001-$7,500: 25%
- More than $7,501: 31%
