Texas County Memorial Hospital expects 12.9% increase in outpatient revenue — 5 things to know

Anticipating a 12.9 percent increase in outpatient revenue, Houston, Mo.-based Texas County Memorial Hospital set a $1.2 million operating budget for 2019, the West Plains Daily Quill reports.

Five things you should know:

1. The hospital’s top four primary care physicians currently generate $1.7 million in outpatient revenue and $2.9 million in inpatient revenue.

2. Along with the projected outpatient revenue growth, the hospital anticipates a 6.2 percent increase in inpatient revenue.

3. The hospital’s inpatient revenues were up and outpatient revenues were down in November 2018.

4. Funds from the 2019 budget will go toward a new ambulance, surgery infill, emergency department EHR implementation and hospital network switch replacement.

5. The hospital is also expecting 5.5 percent increase in emergency department revenue and a 3 percent increase in swing bed revenue.
