Some ASCs have received overpayment letters based on a global billing period, which does not apply to ASCs. The association is trying to work with CMS to ensure RAC audits are conducted accurately and that RACs understand ASC regulations.

The ASC Association is asking ASCA members to contact Jonathan Beal at jbeal@ascassociation.org, if they experience issues with RAC audits.
