Run these 3 reports to identify ASC revenue cycle leaks

Revenue leaks that go undetected can hurt an ASC's profitability and cash flow, according to Serbin Medical Billing.

ASCs can run the following reports to ensure revenue leaks are addressed:

1. Aging accounts receivable report. Make sure the total dollar amount isn't increasing and that days in A/R are decreasing.

2. Summary aging report by physician. Use this report to address trends in case mix.

3. Physician utilization report. Monitor decreases in case volume by physician.

"Running these reports will highlight areas that need immediate attention. Share the results with the appropriate revenue cycle staff member(s) while offering suggestions as to how to address any problems," Serbin Medical Billing said in a blog post. Click here to read more.
