Missouri Bill Would Require Healthcare Price Transparency

According to a Missouri Ambulatory Surgery Center Association blog post, state representative Bill White has pre-filed a bill on transparency in the healthcare marketplace.

House Bill 1145 would require payers to provide healthcare providers with internet access to their standard fee schedule, specifying geographic location. Additional requirements include that every patient referred to a medical facility would be informed about all providers in the patient’s network.
