Startup health insurer, Melody Health Insurance, raised $3.8 million in equity funding, according to Venture Beat.

Here are four highlights:

1. The payer closed on $2 million last week.

2. Melody Health Insurance’s investors have the option to invest an addition $1.8 million within 90 days.

3. The payer will use the funding to expand its team and complete the filing and license process for its launch into certain states for 2017.

4. San Gentile serves as the company’s CEO and co-founder.
