Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker to push for greater healthcare price transparency in the state

Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker (R) recently spoke at a public Health Policy Commission hearing. He expressed concerns over varying healthcare prices across the state and inconsistent transparency, according to The Boston Globe.

Gov. Baker could begin to push for more legislation focused on healthcare price transparency.

Massachusetts has had price transparency laws in place since January 2014, but a study released in August found transparency in practice remains sporadic.
