InstaMed adds Apple Pay to its network

Healthcare payment network InstaMed, based in Philadelphia, has added Apple Pay, according to a Philadelphia Business Journal report.

Apple Pay will allow consumers to use certain Apple devices to make healthcare payments at the point of service. InstaMed’s network includes more than 1,500 hospitals, 70,000 medical practices, 100 billing services and 3,000 payers, according to the report.

Apple Pay is a secure mobile payment system.
