HITRUST to launch study of targeted cyber threats in healthcare

The Health Information Trust Alliance, a collaboration of public and private healthcare technology, privacy and information security leaders, has begun a comprehensive study of targeted cyber attacks in healthcare.

The HITRUST Cyber Discovery study aims to better understand the magnitude and complexity of cyber attacks. The study will focus on:

•    Detection of advanced persistent threat and perpetrators
•    Analysis and forensics of malware and other threats
•    Attacks against specific data, organizations and industry sections
