HIMSS Leadership Survey: ICD-10 Outlook is Positive

Nearly all of the providers that responded to the 25th Annual 2014 HIMSS Leadership Survey expect to be prepared for the switch to ICD-10 by Oct. 1.

Other key findings include:

•    90 percent of respondents have met Stage 1 Meaningful Use
•    Approximately 75 percent of respondents expect to qualify for Stage 2 MU in 2014
•    Approximately 66 percent of respondents participate in a health information exchange organization
•    Approximately 36 percent of respondents are providing patients online access to clinical information
•    15 percent of respondents employ a Chief Nursing Information Officer
