Three insights:
1. Regent RCM recommends aiming for a clean claims rate of 98 percent. Previously, its recommendation was 97 percent.
2. Regent RCM raised the benchmark based on experience. “The ASCs Regent RCM supports have done a great job” with this metric over the past two years of tracking, the company said in a recent white paper.
3. Erin Petrie, Regent RCM’s director of revenue cycle management, said using a clearinghouse helps determine whether or not claims have all the information payers need.
