Registration for the ICD-9-CMS Coordination and Maintenance Committee closes March 4 or when the committee reaches full capacity. Those who are unable to attend can listen in by phone.
The tentative agenda for the meeting includes cardiac valve replacement and cerebral and tissue oximetry. The first day will focus on procedure codes, and the second day will focus on diagnosis codes.
To prepare for final ICD-10 conversion, limited updates to both code sets will be made Oct. 1, 2012. The updates will aim to capture new technologies and diseases only.
