Here are five things to know:
1. Effective Dec. 11, Anthem’s Medicare Advantage HMO and PPO health plan beneficiaries will have in-network access to Elkhart Clinic’s providers and treatment. The clinic is already an Anthem MA preferred provider organization network participant.
2. With a 60-year history in Indiana, Elkhart Clinic has grown into a multispecialty medical provider dedicated to providing evidence-based care. The clinic includes a laboratory and diagnostic imaging services.
3. The in-network agreement will lower out-of-pocket costs for Anthem’s Medicare Advantage HMO and D-SNP patients as well as increase flexibility in choosing their physicians.
4. Elkhart Clinic closed its endoscopy and surgery center in November, and its physicians recently worked with Elkhart-based RiverPointe Surgery Center to take cases there.
