Community Health Centers Receive $4.25M in HIT Grants

Neighborhood Health Plan and Partners HealthCare gave out $4.25 million in grants for its Partnership for Community Health program to fund health information technology, according to Government Health IT.

All 49 community health centers that are Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers received grants, aimed at improving their implementation of HIT systems, meaningful use training, medical coding training and more.

This is the first round of grants to be distributed by the Partnership for Community Health over the next 15 years. Up to $90 million will be granted to community health centers to improve quality of care and efficiency.
