Coding Tip: Urogynecological Procedures

An AudioEducator report outlined a few coding tips for urogynecological procedures.

For the use of mesh in pelvic floor repairs, the report says CPT Code 57267 is used “when there is an insertion of the mesh or other prosthesis for repair of the pelvic floor, each site having a mesh place whether it is in the anterior or posterior compartment and this is via a vaginal approach.”

The code is an add-on.
