CMS solicits APM CPC+ participants: 4 key notes

1. The regulatory agency issued a list of frequently asked questions to encourage payer participation.

2. CMS aimed CPC+ Round 2 at payers to garner support.

3. Some of the APM’s benefits include:

Dual participation in CPC+ and the Medicaid Shared Savings Program
Flexible risk-based payment requirements
A facilitated transition towards CPC+ alignment.

4. CMS will accept 2,600 practices for CPC+ Round 2. The agency accepted 2,893 practices in CPC+ Round 1. Interested payers have until April 3, 2017 to submit a partner proposal.
