CMS releases ICD-10 contacts guide for providers: 4 quick points

CMS has released a new guide that details Medicare and Medicaid contacts for providers who have questions related to ICD-10, according to an AHA News Now report.

Here are four quick points:

1. Providers can contact their Medicare Administrative Contractor or state Medicaid agency for answers to ICD-10 queries.

2. If providers have further questions, they are directed to contact the CMS ICD-10 Ombudsman.

3. CMS established an ICD-10 Ombudsman and ICD-10 Coordination Center to help track, triage and resolve issues.  

4. Additionally, general information on ICD-10 can be found on CMS’ ICD-10 website and Road to 10 webpage.
