Question: If you had to grade CMS’ ASC policy in the last five years, what would it be and why?

Tara Quinton: I would give them a “D-.” ASCs are such a great environment for so many cases, and the reimbursement should be the same for ASCs as it is for hospitals for the same procedures. This could be a huge cost savings for patients and the federal government

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
