CareCredit, DePuy Synthes Mitek strike financing agreement: 5 key notes

Here are five key notes:

1. CareCredit will be the preferred patient financing option that DePuy Synthes Mitek Sports Medicine providers under the agreement.

2. The two companies signed a multi-year agreement.

3. CareCredit research shows financing options play a key role in how consumers make healthcare decisions, with 73 percent of consumers having considered or researched financing while only 70 percent researched procedures or treatments.

4. Consumers are more likely to apply for or use healthcare credit card as costs increase and half of respondents who didn’t have a CareCredit card stated they would consider financing if it enabled them to purchase a healthcare service immediately.

5. DePuy Mitek develops and manufacturers orthopedic sports medicine products, soft tissue repair devices, joint movement solutions and minimally invasive arthroscopic treatment for sports and physical activity.
