California workers’ comp fee schedule updates to take effect in days — 4 changes

California’s Division of Workers’ Compensation posted fee schedule updates for hospital outpatient departments and ASC services that go into effect July 1.

The fee schedule for HOPDs and ASCs will conform to the following Medicare changes for services rendered on or after July 1:

1. The July 2019 Medicare Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System release Addendum A.
2. The July 2019 Medicare Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System release Addendum B.
3. Certain HCPCS code and payment rates approved in the July 2019 ASC Payment System release.
4. Certain sections of the July 2019 Integrated Outpatient Code Editor release.

The June 26 order was signed by George P. Parisotto, administrative director of the Division of Workers’ Compensation.
